内容説明
These computer programes, together with their associated workbooks and Instructor's Guide represent a novel way in which to greatly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of laboratory class teaching. By utilising computer-based laboratories it is possible to give even the largest of introductory classes a sound introduction to the use of the experimental method in psychology. The essence of this approach is the "cafeteria-system" in which a small number of computers are made available for students to book time-slots when convenient and to run themselves or volunteers as subjects in an experiment. All the introduction and explanation required by the students is supplied in the laboratory workbook or on the computer screen and there need be no staff involvement at this stage. Associated with each experiment are computer-presented multiple-choice questions and short-note questions which are to be found in the workbook. If the multiple-choice assessment is used, the computer will mark each student's answers, while if the short-note format is followed, a brief instructor's marking guide is provided to facilitate marking by demonstrators or postgraduate students. @BT2 = While it is possible to use all the experiments in each workbook as a complete course, the individual experiments are independant of each other and can be used in any desired combination to allow integration with an existing course.
