Description
This work contains text by Benjamin H.D. Buchloh, and Manfred Hermes. Isa Genzken has been exploring the world of sculpture for 30 years. Her work is characterized by unusual combinations: constructions which are monumental and fragile at the same time, and made of contrasting materials. This reflects on human vulnerability in the environment. Genken's sculpture is concerned with what surrounds us and shapes our everyday existence, from design, advertising, and the media to architecture and the urban environment. This volume presents her latest sculptures exhibited at Wiener Seccession/Galerie im Taxispalais, Innsbruck and at the German Pavilion of the Venice Biennale 2007. It features English and German text.
