Martin asks the reader to imagine their own dream team, and even confides by way of an early photograph that he himself was playing at semi-professional level in his youth. This title will really appeal to boys, in particular, who struggle to engage with a text through lack of interest or reading difficulty, but it has cross-gender appeal for girls too, who are interested in the beautiful game.
