From the introduction by David Johnson: Fishing is not an industry. It's a passion. That passion grips people of all backgrounds, all ages. Some are hunters, who would catch the last fish in the world if they could. Some are men (or women) of the sea, happy only when the deck is moving beneath their feet, the engine is turning over with a steady beat, and the seabirds are screaming...Some are skilled shipwrights. Some are conservationists, keen observers of their environment, deeply concerned about fish stocks and catches. Those who catch fish are only one part of the equation.
