Architecture practice Tsoi/Kobus & Associates (TK&A) was established in 1983 with a focus on technology in architecture. The result is the creation of beautiful and humane environments for even the most demanding high-tech applications. This is reflected in not only the commissions garnered by the firm, but its level of expertise to create spaces with a functionality beyond regular designs for grand public and commercial spaces. In the years since then, TK&A's technology-intensive designs have had a profound impact on society. The firm has pioneered numerous prototypes, among them, proton therapy centres, ambulatory care buildings, incubator biotech research facilities and marine animal research laboratories, that serve as benchmarks in their respective industries.
