Description
This edition reflects the dynamic evolvement of this field of theory and practice. As Chapter 1 shows, social justice lies at the very heart of the challenges facing not only employment relations practitioners and stakeholders, but also senior leadership in all spheres of South African society. A greater emphasis is placed on strategic issues as the increasing role of human resources in the world of work is recognised. Part of this is reflected in the narrowing of the gap between traditional industrial relations and human resource management practices and theories. Chapters have been rearranged to reflect a dynamic progression from macro- to micro-issues, and references to legislation have been updated.
