Description

A report on the Neolithic settlement site of Curslak (Hamburg: c. 4100/4000 2900/2800 cal BC). The main focus of the analysis is the cultural classification of the TRB (Funnel Beaker) finds and the relationship of the material with immigrants from the Altmark region. This work is a valuable contribution to present-day understanding of the history of area and its finds; it is also the first typological presentation of Funnel Beaker material. Additionally it places the evidence in the broader context of the Funnel Beaker culture of northern Germany.
