内容説明
This textbook takes a public health/population health approach to the development of programs and services for older adults, including people with disabilities. It is an excellent primary text for policy courses within gerontology certificate and degree programs as it builds social work and gerontology students' understanding of policy development through a critical analysis and review of policy frameworks, and the policy implementation process. The book also addresses the development of skills-building to shape programs and implementation of policies such as media advocacy, coalition building and health promotion frameworks. Community based programs and services are also addressed. Each chapter includes discussion questions and student exercises to further enhance the learning process.
