Summary: Documents the festivities surrounding the moulid, a religious celebration in Egypt which honors the birthdays of dead holy persons. Focuses on a moulid celebration held in Tanta, a city on the Nile, to honor the Muslim saint Ahmad al-Badawy. Shows how one element of the ceremony is the circumcision of young boys, who are brought to Tanta by their parents. Introduces one of the professional circumcisers, a profession in his family for generations
