Description and Table of Contents
Description
The Hague School Book is a beautifully illustrated overview of all the artists who belonged to the exceptionally popular Hague School. It discusses the tensions between the school and Vincent van Gogh and, later, Piet Mondriaan. A generous number of colour illustrations and documentary photographs as well as information about the individual artists complement this publication. All the pieces of art included can be seen at the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, Netherlands, where the world's largest collection of these paintings is held.
