内容説明

This work is an introduction to a modern master of industrial design - the man who redesigned the Coca~Cola bottle and brought the Lucky Strike cigarette logo to the world. Among the literally thousands of well-known forms, shapes, and designs that Raymond Loewy created and which became iconic images of America, are the Studebaker, the US Post Office logo, streamlined trains and ocean liners, the Shell and Hoover logos, and the Greyhound bus. Throughout his extraordinary career, Loewy worked for international companies including Shell, BP, Nestle, Heinz and Cadbury, creating some of the world's most recognisable logos and emblems. In "Industrial Design", the pioneering half-century of Loewy's career is presented with full colour illustrations and Loewy's own personal account of a life in design.
