Walter Burley Griffin (1876-1937) was a distinguished modernist American architect, landscape architect and town planner. His work attracted world-wide attention in 1912 when he won the international competition to design a new capital city for Australia. Griffin was also a prolific lecturer and writer. In this edition, his 71 pieces of writing have been thematically categorised under ten headings to reflect the variety and interrelations of his professional interests: Canberra; Town and Campus Planning; Residential Communities; Designing the House; Building the House; Landscape Architecture; Public Buildings; India; Architecture and Politics and the Future of Architecture.
