Description
The Fourteenth Paw is the memoir of the pioneer of diffusion of innovations theory, Everett M. Rogers. The stories of his boyhood days on his family's farm give an unvarnished account of the tribulations of farm life in the 1930s. These stories are mixed with anecdotes from his education and academic career and an acutely poignant account of his battle with cancer. In each of the narratives the author reflects on how the lessons and values learnt during his youth came to be valuable in later life. This powerful story provides both an account of an American way of life that has since disappeared and priceless insight into the life and character of this remarkable man.
