内容説明

Assessment and evaluation have become major concerns in elementary education as educators grow more aware of changes taking place in the community and in schools. The need to involve both children and parents in the process of evaluation is apparent, but exactly how to achieve this involvement is not so clear. This book offers a solution, based on exciting new work in Australia and North America. "Negotiated Evaluation" shows how to enhance each child's development, help parents develop an understanding of their children's progress, and ensure a growing appreciation of each child's needs by teacher, parents, and child. It provides practical suggestions for implementing the program; looks at classroom organization, parent interviews, and reporting to parents; and discusses at length the important role of continual observation and evaluation in the day-to-day practices of the classroom.
