Description
Mark's resurrection message covers just eight verses, yet those verses form the foundation of much that is believed about the resurrection. But what was the original intent of the story? What did Mark want to say to his audience? What aspects of the story have been taken as literal truth that should insteadc be investigated for their symbolic truth? This book takes the reader into the world of Jesus, Paul and Mark. Using the Ancient Judaic method of midrash, a method in which these three and indeed all the apostolic writers were steeped, the author reveals unsuspected complexities and depths of meaning that are grounded in the realities of Mark's world.
