Description
This is the first ever geological map of the world's uranium deposits at a scale of 1:30 000 000. It provides information on potential economic uranium deposits containing more than 500 metric tonnes of uranium with an average grade greater than 0.03% uranium. The geological settings and locations of 590 uranium deposits meeting the minimum criteria are shown. Shape, colour and size of symbols on the map indicate the deposit type, operational status and size. The names of the reported uranium deposits are listed in the legend. It is the most comprehensive compilation of relevant information ever published and includes previously unavailable information on uranium deposits in eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, as well as in China.
