With this program you can interactively explore the Mandelbrot set and its Julia sets including 3D renderings; you can find your own fantastic zooms and artistic color maps, and easily switch between 2D, 2.5D and 3D renderings. This new, Version 1.2 features: interactive computation of Mandelbrot and Julia sets; multiple windows and rectangular formats of images; 3D rendering of potential (and distance estimator); six algorithms to choose from; tool icons and cursor info integrated into picture and window; color shading for distance and potential; binary decomposition of level sets; help facility and refinement tool; work in background (Multi finder and System 7); and, 'Copy' and 'Paste' which allow you to insert the images into your favorite program or word processor. Editor for color palettes are included. It also features load and save images from and to disk in compressed format. Hardware requirements: Apple Macintosh with floating-point coprocessor (e.g. Mac II, IIx, IIcx, IIci, IIfx, IIvx, Quadra, PowerBook 180 or - with optional coprocessor - IIsi, IIvi, Mac LC, etc.) running at least system 6.0.2
