Description
This book is the first detailed study on Panchakroshi and its associated inner sanctum, the Antargriha yatra. Assuming itself as the centre of the cosmos, Kashi [Varanasi] has preserved up to date ita mandalic system which is experienced and revived by millions os devouts hindus through pilgrimage. The 108 shrines on the route are described with the help of maps and illustrations. The topics covered are the background of the archetypical nature of pilgrimage, the cosmic mandalas.
