内容説明
The kinetics and mechanisms of (free)-radical polymerization of (macro)monomers in dispersed systems was the topic of "Non-Conventional Polymer Dispersions", the IUPAC-sponsored microsymposium and 15th Bratislava International Conference held in Smolenice in June, 2001. Synthetic approaches using micro-, mini- and multi-emulsions and nanostructured media were items of particular interest. The preparation of polymer particles of a range of sizes (nm--mm) was discussed and the advanced design of particle structure was a recurring theme, with many types of specialty products and materials covered. A collection of the presentations have been prepared for publication in this volume Macromolecular Symposia.
