There are two sports which undoubtedly have 'a literature'. One is cricket; the other is undoubtedly golf. But just as no-one, until Aurum, had thought to do a compilation of the best cricket writing from the Telegraph, so no-one has hitherto anthologised all its best golf writing - even though the Telegraph (always the paper of choice for male sports fans) has by common consent been 'the golfer's paper'.
