内容説明

The contributors show that the growth in the teaching and literature of natural philosophy (mechanics, hydraulics etc), mathematics and chemistry, together with such new agencies as "philosophical societies", itinerant lecturers and libraries were significant factors in the development of the Industrial Revolution.
