An industry driven perspective on tourism This text combines the extensive industry-based knowledge of John Richardson with an academic and pedagogical framework provided by Martin Fluker. These other texts come from an academic perspective overlaid with an applied industry dimension. This text is designed to be used over a twelve or thirteen week semester. Its aim is to give students a firm grounding in both understanding and working with tourism in order to achieve organisational and personal goals. Students are also encouraged to identify clear career opportunities for themselves within the tourism industry.
