Description and Table of Contents

Description

Born in the UK in 1965, Adam Chodzko is an artist who works directly with the people and places that surround him, often peripheral communities that define themselves through their own rituals and folklore. This book offers the first survey of Chodzko's work from the past fifteen years, including important new video works not yet seen in this country, and a major new commission produced especially for the Tate St Ives exhibition. Chodzko uses a wide variety of media - including video, performance, fly-posters, sculpture and drawing - to explore culture's edges, endings, displacements and disappearances, creating a space somewhere between documentary and fantasy.
