Description
The Smithsonian Museum of American Art houses the world's premier collection of American art in one of the country's most beautiful buildings; the old Patent Office Building, which has now been completely restored. Thus there will be publicity both for the art and for the building when the Museum reopens on 4th July 2006. The book, which lavishly illustrates paintings, sculpture, photography and folk art, is heavy on illustrations and light on text, making it user friendly for the entire family.
