Description

To be nominated for the international best high-rise award a building is required to meet stringently high standards. It must be characterised by special aesthetic qualities, a future-oriented design, innovative technology, and sensitive integration into the urban fabric and cost effective. Here 27 high-rise projects - from the highest tower to-date, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai to iconic buildings like the Shanghai World Financial Centre - demonstrate important trends, and imaginative concepts. This book considers all the projects against this background and explores how they meet the demanded criteria.
