This book aims to bring together the published archaeological record for the Vulture-Melfese region of southern Italy. It contains a description of all archaeological activity in the region - focusing on the three sites of Lavello, Melfi and Ripacandida - as well as a bibliography of all published work. A concluding section looks at strengths and weaknesses of the existing research, emphasises the importance of the region archaeologically, particularly for Classical antiquity, and makes some suggestions for future research. Parallel Italian text with English translation.
