内容説明
This thesis analyses the impact of the major driving forces on livestock husbandry in Benin. The study aims to deepen the understanding of livestock management and its possible developments. For the analysis two surveys, agricultural development theories, experiences in other developing countries, and the agricultural sector model BenIMPACT are used. Currently, low productivity is accompanied by a multi-purpose motivation for livestock keeping. The major problem is the inadequate and insufficient supply of fodder. Population growth has a greater impact on the development of this sector than increasing income. BenIMPACT confirms the relevance of natural resources and increasing land scarcity. Future livestock management will be more differentiated according to region and input intensity.
