Description and Table of Contents
Description
This work deals with dedicated mailing and e-mail campaign to targeted art related media & organizations. Jack Pierson (b.1960) is one of the most influential American artists of today. Working with a wide range of different media - including photography, painting, drawing, books, installation and film, as well as wall and floor sculptures - Pierson is drawn to stardom, melodrama, loneliness and emotional narrative as subjects. Pierson infuses all his works with visual and literal references to lost love, sexual longing, faded glamor, evanescence and beauty. He is also concerned with the formal qualities of presentation and the number of aesthetic decisions required in achieving a balance between the narrative content of an artwork and its physical manifestation. This unique and visually arresting volume brings together a collection of Pierson's best work from a number of previous publications, all designed by Pierson himself and now out of print, reproduced as they were and in chronological order - with an introduction by the artist.
