Description
for alto saxophone and cello
Markets known as 'Temple Fairs' were held during the period of the Tang Dynasty. During these festivals games were played and performances given. This work describes an imagined Temple fair. The composer explores the music of an ancient Chinese double reed instrument and traditional Chinese drum rhythms and gives the lines to the modern saxophone and cello.
