Description
They built temples and issued inscriptions to their credit which have been valuable source for reconstructing the history of the region. The temples at Naresar, Batesar, Sihonia, Dobkund, Padhaoli, Mitaoli, Varahavali, Dang, Kherat and other throw light on their zeal of patronizing the temple art and its maintenance. The present work is based on an archaeological remains extensive survey of monuments of this region and its scientific study. The work is thus divided in seven chapters to focus on various aspects of history, art, architecture, inscriptions, iconography etc. to understand the heritage and political situations of the region.
