Description
Manga is a Japanese comic book art form that has become an international phenomenon in recent years. In this new and unique series of episodes, leading Japanese manga artist Hoshino Yukinobu engages with history through one of his most popular characters, Professor Munakata. Professor Tadakusu Munakata is a fictional ethnologist who unravels the mysteries of Japan’s past. Since his creation in 1995, the professor’s popularity has escalated and today millions of readers in Japan eagerly follow his adventures in the bi-weekly manga magazine Big Comic (published by Shogakukan in Japan). In this new compilation of ten episodes, we follow Professor Munakata as he embarks on a series of exciting adventures at the British Museum. Worked in elegant black-and-white graphics, the episodes see the black-cloaked professor encountering mystical challenges and making deductions about some of the Museum’s most iconic objects.
