Description
This substantial volume, a thesis, surveys the production and typology of ceramic vessels, lamps and, to a lesser degree, decorative building material in Roman Africa during Late Antiquity. An extensive and illustrated catalogue of typology and chronology forms the bulk of the study, focusing on amphorae, fine wares, figurines, lamps and architectural mouldings. All types are illustrated with black and white photographs. The preceding discussion reviews the evidence for production and distribution. French text.
