Description
An anthology of women writing poetry in Galician today. The language of the area of Spain known as Galicia (A Coruna, Pontevedra, Lugo, Ourense), Galician has survived from the middle ages and in the post-Franco era has entered a period of creativity in all media. The women who have used this medium of expression for their poetry are of varying ages and perspectives, but they have in common their gender and a desire to identify with their area of birth. The volume is an example of how this double minority has been writing since the 1960s.
