内容説明
Scanning the macroeconomic settings of the seven countries of the subregion of South Asia--Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka--this volume explores how well the macro-economic strategies pursued by these countries meet the objectives of the Decent Work Agenda. This organization, developed by the International Labour Organization, is a proponent of availability of employment in conditions of freedom, equity, security, and human dignity. This study examines whether the countries of South Asia are reaping the benefits of the globalization process and asks whether globalization is helping to achieve the goal of Decent Work. The material presented by various authors in this volume present elaborate, research-based, empirical information, and analysis for researchers, policy makers, and multilateral institutions, raising many issues and opening up wide areas of debate.
