Description
Computed tomography (CT) has emerged as one of the most important imaging techniques of modern times. Given the medical necessity and usefulness of this diagnostic tool, scientists have focused on the issue of dose reduction while maintaining diagnostic confidence. This publication details the findings of a coordinated research project (CRP) on the topic and provides guidelines for both the medical community and the equipment manufacturers and suppliers on making their respective contributions to dose reduction.
