Description
Ponti made an extraordinary contribution to the recovery and success of Italian industry following the two world wars. His significance within the field of design is confirmed by the fact that many of his creations are still produced today, while others are periodically relaunched by major design manufacturers. With over 650 images, this book illustrates nearly all of Ponti's work between 1920 and 1976; from his first efforts in graphic design and the ceramics industry to his many contributions in the fields of industrial, stage-set and costume design.
