Benno Nietzel traces the history of Jewish entrepreneurs from Frankfurt am Main from the 1920s to the 1960s. He examines the prerequisites, characteristics and consequences of the socio-economic upheaval represented by the destruction of Jewish commercial activity under Nazi rule. What business assertion and survival strategies did Jewish entrepreneurs develop? What processes of exclusion and persecution have you been exposed to? What happened to your companies during the war and in the post-war period?
