内容説明
The series from which this booklet is taken has an enquiry-based approach that deals with questions, issues and problems of an environmental nature. Through a sequence of enquiry exercises students are encouraged to focus their attention on issues of current concern, move through a process of enquiry towards a solution, and make decisions about where they stand on social issues and responsibilites. This unit raises people-environment questions in the context of the Canadian North. These include: how do such environments pose problems of survival for human beings; what physical and human processes interact with such environments and with what spatial, environmental and human impacts; and how might the human response to the challenge of unique and difficult environments be best planned.
