After spending 20 years running one of the best-known UK public relations agencies, Lynne Franks took time out to travel the planet searching for inner truth. Her journey took her to Beijing, India, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the Brazilian rainforests. This work conveys what she discovered. Franks began to see that our patriarchal system, based on aggression, fear and greed, was bringing us to the edge of the destruction of the planet and its inhabitants. By patriarchal, Franks does not mean men, as ardent feminists also feel the need to operate within the male energy to be effective. The feminine way for both men and women is a new political, economic and spiritual dialogue based on trust, honesty, communication and love. Franks feels we have to learn to bring spiritual values into business and politics and follow the concept of service to one another and the planet, and believes that a sustainable future is about empowering people to become one another's teachers and healers.
