The Dual Heritage tells the story of the migration of an entire community from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco toa village in Israel situated in the Negev region. The book is dedicated to the analysis of social change: it deals with patterns, prophecies, and problems in adjustment and change, particularly in the spheres of policies and family relationships. Moshe Shokeid is Professor of Anthropology at Tel-Aviv University.
