This work includes an introduction by Kevin J Hayes, together with an essay on "Poe and the Gothic" by Benjamin F Fisher who is Professor of English in the University of Mississippi and is an internationally recognised specialist in American and Victorian Literature. There is a short essay entitled the "Mystery of Poe's Final Days".
