Description and Table of Contents
Description
Equity & Trusts: Text, Cases, and Materials provides a complete guide to the subject in a single volume. Clear author introductions and analyses of the law accompany the extracts from cases and materials to promote the development of essential case reading skills and allow for a detailed appreciation of the practical workings of the law and the best of legal scholarship. The authors have used their unrivalled teaching experience to select the parts of
judgments, articles, and statutory material most relevant to students' needs and in doing so have created a volume which will help student to achieve the best results.
The first new book to be written in this subject area since the Charities Act 2011, this work takes account of the new legislative landscape throughout, in addition to offering analysis of key recent cases including Jones v Kernott on common intention constructive trusts, Sinclair v Versailles on remedies for breach of fiduciary duty, and The Independent Schools Council v The Charity Commission for England and Wales on the public benefit requirements for independent
schools to be charities.
Student learning is supported throughout with the presence of 'Central Issues' at the start of each chapter, allowing students to assess easily what coverage is to follow. Scenario-based questions posed at the end of chapters give students an opportunity to assess their own level of understanding while also gaining an understanding of the practical application of the law.
