A photographic guide to the 44 most common weeds affecting arable farmland and gardens. The weeds have been photographed at cotyledon and seedling stage to permit early identification and rapid control while the accompanying life size drawings highlight major diagnostic features and calendarize emergence and flowering times. Early recognition and control of weeds leads to savings in the cost of chemicals and herbicides. This guide gives information on the choice of correct herbicides to combat weeds and should be of interest to those agrochemical companies involved in research, manufacture and supply.
