内容説明
Standen in West Sussex is among the finest surviving examples of William Morris decoration. Built in 1892-4 by Philip Webb, one of Morris' closest colleagues, it has been little altered since and is still filled with an array of Morris wallpapers, textiles, furniture and metalwork. This book outlines the careers of the architect Philip Webb and the man who commissioned him, James Beale. It also describes the design and furnishing of the house and the family life of the Beales at Standen.
