内容説明

The book is a re-assessment of earlier historiography in the light of new documents that became available only after the fall of the Soviet Union and the opening up of its archives. It seeks to examine how, unlike Europe communism could originate in India in the absence of capitalist exploitation. It establishes the fact that despite being dependent on commintern's guidelines, and despite several influences Indian communism retained an autonomous quality.
