First published in 1930, as the second edition of an 1896 original, this history of the United States of America between 1765 and 1865 forms part of the Cambridge Historical Series. The text was written by Edward Channing (1856-1931), a renowned historian of the United States and winner of the 1926 Pulitzer Prize for History. Maps and appendices are also included.
