Gio Ponti is to feature at the centre of a cultural event in New York in Autumn 2010; the event will promote the made in Italy brand through one of its greatest exponents. Destined to make its mark as an event and as a publication curated by Germano Celant, the exhibition dedicated to Gio Ponti and his works is a trail blazer for a significant new exhibition venue, the Triennial New York. The exhibtions's hundreds of drawings, paintings, sculptures, ceramics, artistic tiles, furniture and architect's models bears witness to Ponti's incredible range and creative fertility. The catalogue has been produced in magazine format, and comes complete with a reissue of Ponti's legendary Aria d'Italia expressione di Gio Ponti curated by the architect in person in 1956, an example of his sweeping talent as an architect and as an editor.
