Description
This book traces the history of the Alaskan fur seal in American diplomacy from 1867 to the present. The study deals with political, economic and conservation interests that became entwined in international controversy which eventually involved Great Britain, Japan, Russia and the United States. At a time when danger to the environment and resources of the world is evident, the examination of fur seal diplomacy has a role in illuminating the problem.
