内容説明
Conversions are recognized as a major source of additional dwellings for meeting housing requirements in London. In order to assess the impact they make on figures for privately owned dwelling stock and to estimate their likely future contribution a study was commissioned. This report of that study gives a comprehensive overview of conversions in London boroughs; the type, size and distribution of the buildings being converted, the socio-economic characteristics of occupiers, the type of developers involved, physical and environmental problems associated with conversions (such as car parking in the street) and prospects for an increase in the number of conversions in the future.
