This collection is a pioneer study of linguistic phenomena in St Vincent and the Grenadines, written by scholars who are both respected in their field of research and connected to the linguistic realities in the geographic area under investigation. This book covers the subfields of sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, ethnography, historical linguistics and syntax. It concentrates on mainland St Vincent and the Grenadine island of Bequia.
